Homerun
by Juventina Ochoa ( Todd's cousin )
It's a sunny day,no chance of rain.
It's time for you to play your last game.
The scores four to one,
the bases loaded all you need is one homerun.
You're up to bat,the first pitch strike one,and then strike two.
Your doubts are low, your scared, your nervous but it never shows.
You pray to God you hit this one.
The pitcher winds up and he throws.SMACK! There it goes.
So high, so far,it disappears into the light of the sun. The crowd
cheers.
You're so excited you forget to run.
You start out slow, when you hit base one,you let the energy flow.
Base two and then base three, your almost home.
Inches from home plate you slam on brakes, you stand there and stare
into the sun.
It gets brighter, a stairway appears.
There God stands about midway and he cheers,
" COME ON TODD. Come run to home. This will be the start of you new
game. Come play with the angels. You'll get to fly."
You got your homerun, you won the game.
You get to play as much as you like now.
So, why is it that we shed our tears,
is it because we have fear with you not here.
Just remember we love you and will never forget you.
We didn't want you to go,you may have not wanted to go either,
but its time for your HOMERUN.

Fwd: Todd Daniels, Thursday, 4-17-08
Just thought I would let everyone know that Todd is not doing very well.
His kidneys and lungs are shutting down. Today they might take his
feedings away. We will find out later. I will try to keep everyone
updated.
Love,
Bobbie ( Todd's Mom )

Todd's song by Ray King
Todd is not doing well. He had to be catheterized today. They think
his kidneys is starting to shut down.
I spoke with Ray King and he said that he is more than happy to have
this put on Todd's Website.

This was given to me today by the Social Worker ( Ray King ) from
Hospice. He wrote
Todd that wonderful song and this will be sung at Todd's funeral.
Christmas time he wrote Todd a beautiful poem also.
Hospice has just been a god send to us. They have become very close to
us and treat us as we are family.
Ray thinks so much of Todd and he said this came from his heart.
I just had to share this with all of you.

TODDI'S SONG
He had a smile wider than the grand canyon
His eyes were bluer than the bluest skies could be
And though he couldn't speak by the time I met him
His eyes and smile they spoke volumes to me.
And I knew from the moment that I met him.
That my life would be profoundly changed.
Because God places angels among us
I'd met one and Toddi was his name.
And this much I know:
He was loved
Well cared for
Couldn't ask for nothing more
Everything he needed here he had
Love his movies
T.V. shows
He was always on the go
With his sister
And his Mom and Dad
Got that Dog
Her name was Bella
He was such a lucky fella
Oh, the comical times they all had
And before he took his last breath
As that final pitch was thrown
Toddi stepped up to the plate
Smacked that ball and headed HOME
He had a smile wider than the grand canyon
His eyes were bluer than the bluest skies could be
And though he couldn't speak by the time I met him
His life, his eyes, his smile spoke volumes to me……
His life, his eyes, his smile spoke volumes to me…….
I believe he was an angel among us.

update on Todd written by his mother
here today and she hears a fine bronchi sound in his lungs. We have to
really keep an eye on his feedings. He has to rest at least 4 to 5
hours between today before we can give him, his next feeding.
But I know when that dreadful day comes. That Todd will be able to run
and play baseball.
I Love him so much.
He is and forever will be my heart, soul, hero and angel.
